Evoe begins with a simple idea: to bring life back to a ruined monastery without altering its identity.
Inspired by the ancient Greek symposium, Cordero Atelier reimagines the monastery as a place for gathering, conversation, music, and celebration. As in those ceremonial banquets, wine, dialogue, performance, and shared experience become the essence of the narrative. The architecture remains untouched, while light, sound, scenography, and performance offer a contemporary interpretation of the space.

The celebration begins with the monastery transformed into a living museum. Six monumental pedestals support human statues that welcome guests in complete stillness until, unexpectedly, they come to life through a choreography accompanied by an original musical composition. Once the performance concludes, the pedestals become part of the cocktail setting, serving as display furniture and side tables.
References to classical Greece are expressed through carefully selected details rather than historical reconstruction. Vine leaves, amphorae, ceramics, draped textiles, and hand-illustrated graphics reinterpret the classical world with a contemporary sensibility, allowing the monastery to preserve its character while revealing a new identity for a single night.
Light becomes another architectural element. Shades of green and blue reinterpret the stone walls throughout the evening, while warm pools of light create an intimate atmosphere during dinner. As the celebration unfolds, the lighting adopts a bolder, more contemporary language, accompanying the transition from the banquet to the dance floor.
