Some narratives do not need to be invented; they already exist within a place.

For this celebration, Cordero Atelier took as its starting point the grove surrounding the venue and developed a proposal inspired by Komorebi (木漏れ日), the Japanese word that describes sunlight gently filtering through the leaves, capturing the delicate balance between light and shadow.

A celebration shaped by light, shadow, and the fleeting moment in which they meet beneath the trees.

Scope: Creative direction, production, experience design, scenography design, floral design, textile design, lighting design, sound design, graphic direction, food and beverage design, and guest experience.

Komorebi speaks of a fleeting, unrepeatable moment. It celebrates the beauty found in the movement of trees, air, and ever-changing light. More than a visual phenomenon, it is a way of experiencing nature through calm, balance, and subtlety.

This sensibility merges with the soft northern light of Bilbao. Every intervention follows the same language through layers of transparency, reflections, textiles, and filtered light, allowing the landscape to breathe. Rather than transforming the place, the celebration reveals what has always been there, waiting to be discovered.

Everything begins with light.

Not just any light, but the kind that reveals itself with subtlety. The light that filters through the branches, casts shifting shadows, and transforms the landscape without altering its essence.

Threshold, the moment before crossing into something new.
